Surat jewellers designed world's most expensive ring worth Rs 29 Cr

A year ago, two jewellers from Surat set a record of crafting a lotus-shaped ring embedded with 6,690 diamonds. It has been considered as the world's most expensive diamond ring priced at a whopping Rs 29 crore.

Surat (Gujarat): Associated with the popular with the sobriquet - 'Diamond City of India', Surat is known for housing the world's most expensive diamond ring.

A year ago, two jewellers from the city set a record of crafting a lotus-shaped ring embedded with 6,690 diamonds. It has been considered as the world's most expensive diamond ring priced at a whopping Rs 29 crore.

Vishal Agarwal and Khushbu Agarwal designed this 'Lotus Ring' to give India a unique identity on the global stage.

The ring which weighs 58.176 grams is shaped like a lotus flower with 48 diamond-encrusted petals. It also contains a 24% alloy.

It took one year for the couple to complete this masterpiece. They sought help from experts of Mumbai and Surat.

This Lotus ring also made it to the Guinness Book of World Records in 2018.
