Surat: The 182-meter tall 'Statue of Unity' of Iron-man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has broken the world's record once again. Earlier the statue received the title for the world's tallest statue and now for the smallest one!
The surat-based 3D printing company, STPL3D has created the world's smallest 3D printed replica of the 'Statue of Liberty'.
The replica statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel with the height of 13mm is made from resin material and doesn't even weigh a gram.
The printing company claims to be first in successfully printing small scale miniature sculpture using Stereolithography (SLA) technique of 3D printing.
To create a precisely detailed miniature statue, every detail was thoroughly taken care of by the STPL3D. This smallest statue has been made layer by layer and with the help of ultraviolet laser and 3D techniques to give the exact shape and size.
As it is invisible from naked eyes, 3D glasses are used to see it.
Manufacturers are eyeing for Guinness World Records after receiving the certificate from the India Book of Records and the World Records India for making world's smallest 3D printed replica of the 'Statue of Unity'.
The 'Statue of Unity', the world's tallest statue at Kevadiya in Gujarat, is a monumental tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, independent India's first home minister as well as deputy prime minister.
The statue was inaugurated in October 2018 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Patel's 143rd birth anniversary.
