Motera: The residents of Motera village staged a protest on Thursday for not being invited for the inauguration of the world-class Sardar Patel stadium by US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24.
The locals of Motera village, who staged a protest near the village gate, said that they were invited in 1983 when the old stadium was built.
However, the old stadium was demolished and the new stadium built at a cost of Rs 700 crore has taken its place.
Though the residents of Motera village are living in the neighbourhood of the new stadium, not only they have been ignored for the ‘Namaste Trump’ event but their entry into the stadium too has been banned.
