Gandhinagar: Director of the National Forensic Science University (NFSU), SO Junara on Saturday said that the NFSU is the only educational institution in the country to conduct RT-PCR test on its premises.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, he said that after the central government's nod the institution in Gandhinagar in Gujarat started conducting RT-PCR tests for its staff and students on the campus itself.
" At least 4,200 students, including 180 foreigners, are enrolled to the University and it also has around 175 staff members. Their tests are being conducted on the campus periodically," he said.
Junara stated that when Universities around the country were struggling to conduct examinations due to Covid, the NFSU was the only University that conducted its examinations on the campus itself - thanks to the RT-PCR test facility in the vicinity. He further added that the University is also helping the state government by testing at least 100 samples sent by it every day.
