Sabarkatha (Gujarat): At a time, when the country is reeling under the devastating second wave of Covid-19, a video has surfaced where hundreds of people can be seen dancing in a wedding ceremony at Nada village in Gujarat.

Reports say no social distancing or other protocols were followed at the event in Sabarkatha district and the police have started an investigation.

Most states in India have ordered lockdowns and curbs to control the country's deadly second outbreak of Covid-19, which has been far more severe than the first wave.

Gujarat on Monday reported 405 Covid-19 cases, taking its tally to 8,20,726, while the day also witnessed six deaths, which took the toll past the 10000 mark, and 1,106 people getting discharged, an official said. The toll in the state now stands at 10,003, and the recovery count is 8,01,181, which is 97.62 percent of the overall tally, leaving it with 9,542 active cases, including 223 critical ones, he informed.
