Gujarat: Pakistani teenager crosses India-Pakistan border in Kutch

A Pakistani teenager has been apprehended by security forces after he crossed India-Pakistan International Border in Gujarat's Kutch while he was grazing his cattle.

Kutch: A 15-year-old teenager from Pakistan has crossed India-Pakistan International Border in Kutch while he was grazing his cattle, police said on Tuesday. The boy belongs to the Maldhari community of tribal herdsmen and he lost his way in the desert, they added. The Border Security Force (BSF) handed him over to the Khavda police station after the preliminary interrogation.

The teenager has been identified as Alisheikh Ali Nawaz from Badin district of Sindh province in Pakistan. His village is located near the desert border of Kutch, police informed. After he lost his way he reached Vigakot near border pillar number 1099, where BSF apprehended him. Apart from a matchbox, nothing suspicious was found from his possession, they added.

Khavda Police Sub-Inspector JP Sodha has proposed to send the boy to Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC). Notably, Indian security forces have foiled multiple infiltration attempts at the international border in Kutch bordering Pakistan. Many people have also been arrested for trying to enter India illegally.
