Man troubled by wife set fire to a police station, wanted to be in jail for a long time

A man in Rajkot set a police station on fire so that he can be in jail for a long time and escape from the harassment of his wife. The police have arrested the man for causing damage to public property. The said man set the Bajrang Wadi Police Outpost on Jamnagar Road in Rajkot city on fire on Sunday and stood outside the police station even after the fire broke out.

Rajkot (Gujarat): A man in Rajkot set a police station on fire so that he can be in jail for a long time and escape from the harassment of his wife. The police have arrested the man for causing damage to public property. Speaking to ETV Bharat, Gandhigram police station Police Inspector K.A. Wala said that the person who has set the police outpost on fire made such a move to harass his wife. Further investigation has revealed that the mental condition of this man is not stable and he has been taking medication for mental illness for a long time. He has been arrested and booked under Section 436 of IPC for causing damage to government property.
