Gujarat cop lives away from her one-year-old son to perform lockdown duty

Bhavnaben Desai, a sub-inspector in Ahmedabad is fulfilling her lockdown duty in corona-affected areas, risking her life and even living away from her one and a half-year-old son.

Ahmedabad: Despite the lockdown, positive cases of coronavirus are continuously rising in the country. Several important steps are being taken by the Central and State government to keep a check on the rise.

At the same time, health workers and police personnel on the frontline are fulfilling their responsibilities and duties.

In Ahmedabad, Bhavnaben Desai, a sub-inspector is on duty from the day the lockdown started, leaving her one-and-a-half-year-old son in her native village.

A day before the lockdown, Bhavnaben Desai, along with her son visited her native village in Mehsana, unaware of the fact that she will be separated from him for such a long time. She is on lockdown duty since March 24th without a break.

Sub-inspector Bhavnaben lives in the Danilimda police quarters, many COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from that area of the city. Despite this, she regularly joins her duty serving nation risking her own life.

As the world fights against the deadly coronavirus, there are many 'sheroes' out there who are balancing work and family responsibilities, standing as true corona-warriors.
