Govt and Private offices to operate with 100 per cent staff in Gujrat

In the wake of a significant decline in COVID-19 cases, private as well as government offices in the state can function with 100 per cent staff from June 7.

Gandhinagar: Due to the second wave of Covid-19 in the state, the government had decided to work with 50 per cent of staff in all government and private offices. However, the government has reversed the decision as the number of corona cases in the state is slowly declining.

The state government has announced that from June 7, all government offices and private offices in Gujrat will be functioning at full capacity. A special circular has been issued by the General Administrative Department of the state instructing the government employees to hold video conference instead of attending the meeting in person.

Private companies can also start functioning with 100 per cent staff capacity. All employees in all companies and offices are required to wear face masks. Apart from this, the state government has also instructed to arrange the seating of staff, keeping with social distance, frequent hand sanitization, and strictly following the Covid guidelines. Government employees at the Secretariate in state capital Gandhinagar were seen strictly following Covid guidelines wearing Masks and maintaining social distance.
