Vapi (Gujarat): As the whole world is finding ways to win the battle against the novel coronavirus, India has partially lifted the ban on the export of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), which is in great demand for treating Covid-19. Following this, two pharmaceutical companies, Vital and Mangalam are manufacturing four to five tonnes of Hydroxychloroquine every month.
Vital company’s Shankar Bajaj revealed that along with his company another company named Mangalam has been manufacturing this drug for the last many years. Even today, the company is producing four to five tons of this drug.

The drug has a big market in India. The drug is used for the treatment of malaria, acidity, and other abdominal disorder. These tablets are made from Hydroxychloroquine, which is a life-saving drug.
It is worth noting that coronavirus has spread havoc in the world affecting millions of people. Hence, many countries have sought Hydroxychloroquine from India because the drug appears to have beneficial effect on patients suffering from coronavirus disease.
With its decision of lifting the ban on HCQ, India will now fulfil all those orders it has received in the past few weeks from countries such as the US, Brazil, Spain, France, Germany, Israel, the UK, Australia and the Gulf countries, among others.
