BJP MLA who thrashed NCP woman leader apologised, calls her younger sister

Gujarat BJP MLA Balram Thawani who was caught on camera for brutally thrashing an NCP woman leader for questioning water shortage in the area on Sunday has apologised to her. He said that she is like his younger sister and the latter accepted the apology.

Ahmedabad: Balram Thawani, BJP MLA who was caught on camera kicking a woman NCP leader, Nitu Tejwani in Naroda has apologised to the woman on Monday.

At a press conference here Thawani said that Nitu is like his younger sister. "I have apologized to her for what happened yesterday. We have cleared out the misunderstandings between us. I have promised to help her if she ever needs any help," BJP MLA further added. He also said that it was unintentional.

The victim has accepted his apology and said that the BJP MLA is like her elder brother.

Balram Thawani was seen brutally thrashing a woman NCP leader outside his office in Naroda on Sunday when she was staging a protest along with other women demanding the restoration of a water pipeline.

However, the MLA had accepted his mistake on Sunday.
