Ahmedabad: Acting on the intelligence inputs, Ahmedabad police have escalated security arrangements ahead of a possible terror attack in Gujarat amid the festive season, Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Sanjay Srivastava has released notifications to raise an alert.
As per the notification, CCTV installation is mandatory at all public places including shops, malls, multiplexes, hotels, restaurants, lodges, inns, petrol pumps, toll plazas and high-rise buildings.
"CCTV cameras installed at public places are useful in the prevention of crimes such as robbery, burglary etc," police said.
"Notice will also be issued soon in this regard," a police official added.
