Parking zones in residential areas and private buildings will be designated by the municipal corporation in consultation with the builders. According to a survey conducted in 2012, two-wheelers comprise 26 per cent of the city’s vehicles and the number has in all likelihood increased since then.

Vehicles being parked on either side of roads in want of parking space is a common sight. Considering this, it has become necessary for the administration to come up with a proper parking system. At present, pedestrians are having a harrowing time to move around as parked vehicles occupy a major portion of the road. Also, there are no designated bus stops for BRTS and AMTS services.
