New Delhi: Setting an example of honesty, a 22-year-old housekeeping staffer of Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad on Wednesday handed over USD 750 to the CISF personnel at security check, who then returned it to the passenger it belonged to.
According to the Airports Authority of India official, Jeki Chavda, a housekeeping staff at Ahmedabad airport, found USD 750 wrapped in a transparent plastic bag while cleaning and sanitising trays used at the security checkpoints.
Chavda realised that one of the passengers must have forgotten to collect the bag during security check formalities and he immediately handed over the bag to CISF officials. After examining the CCTV footage, CISF tracked down the passenger and returned the bag to him just as he was about to board a flight.
