New Delhi: Wrestler Sushil Kumar and many other jail inmates who are lodged in Tihar Jail are likely to watch and enjoy the Tokyo Olympic games in the prison premises. The Tokyo Olympic games is schedule to begin tomorrow (July 23). The Tihar Jail administration is scheduled to hold a meeting on Thursday after Sushil Kumar demanded a television broadcast of the Olympic games in his jail cell.
Keeping in mind the interest of the prisoners towards the Olympic games, the jail officials may arrange for a TV set along with big screens for the telecast of the games which are commencing in Tokyo from Friday. Many Indian players have reached Tokyo to participate in this year's Olympic games.
Notably, about 16,000 prisoners are lodged in Tihar Jail including wrestler Sushil Kumar, who is the prime accused in New Delhi's Chhatrasal Stadium brawl. The jail officials are hopeful that the meeting will bring positive results.
