New Delhi: A 61-year-old woman died inside an ambulance in Delhi after waiting for hours to get admitted to a hospital.
Since 8 am, the family tried Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, LNJP Hospital, Baba Saheb Ambedkar Covid Hospital, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Covid Hospital and finally Radha Swami Satsang Beas Covid centre, without success.

Manju Grover breathed her last in the ambulance outside Radha Swami Satsang Covid Center after waiting for two hours. Her son said that doctors in Radha Swami Satsang didn't even see his mother despite her deteriorating condition. The family members have also alleged that despite having hospital papers, they were denied admission to LNJP. A private ambulance operator also asked for Rs 35,000 just for taking her to Radha Swami Covid centre.

Delhi's health sector is stretched to its limits after a surge in Covid cases. The state is battling oxygen shortage, lack of Remdesivir injections, and availability of hospital beds. The state recorded 20,201 fresh cases and 380 deaths in the last 24 hours.
