During his campaign, he has targeted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal saying that he does not have any perspective on national issues, that is why he doesn't talk about it.

In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Khattar said that people of Delhi were feeling cheated since the last election when Aam Aaadmi Party came to power and also wanted change. This time, people of Delhi will give votes to Bharatiya Janata Party and we will get more than 35 seats in the election. Khattar also said that in last 10 days, the picture of the Delhi election has completely changed in favour of BJP and he considers it a very big change.

Making Kejriwal the target, Khattar said that Kejriwal came into power because of Anna Hazare and he did not care for development work in Delhi after coming into power and cheated the people of Delhi in every aspect.

On Kejriwal's allegations on Congress and BJP, for not picking up the local issues, Khattar said: "Kejriwal doesn't want us to speak on the national issue because he doesn't have any opinion on national issues. He considers Delhi a piece of land. But we consider it as our mother and we proudly say Bharat Mata Ki Jai. I will speak on issues which harms our mother."

Khattar said his party takes up every issue whether it is local or national. If we talk only about the local issues and ignore the national ones, it will not be a complete Renaissance, he said.

Reacting on Aam Aadmi Party's manifesto, the Chief Minister said that they have repeated the previous manifesto again.

"Earlier AAP spoke about education and cleaning of Yamuna and now they say that they don't have land. From where they will get the land now? First, Kejriwal should say what his government has done in last five years," Khattar said.

On giving cheap electricity to the people of Delhi, Khattar said, on one hand, Kejriwal gives free electricity to people of Delhi, then he raises the rate of commercial electricity from 15 rupees per unit to 18 rupees, which is 4 rupees per unit in Haryana. Downtrodden society should be given free electricity, but not everyone. The downtrodden section is a small section and there is no problem in bringing them up by providing certain facilities free of cost. But it should not be given to everyone.

Giving an example of the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) report which came recently, Khattar said that AAP has the most number of the candidates having a criminal record.

"AAP never checks the criminal record of the candidates before giving them a ticket, that's why they not been able to curb corruption in the party. AAP took money for giving tickets to the candidates, " Khattar asserted.

Khattar also said that Congress is nowhere seen in Delhi elections, "and I fear it will vanish after this election."
