New Delhi: The founder of Bhartiya Kisan Sangh and Mazdoor Sangh - both the affiliate organisations of RSS - and a lifetime Pracharak, Dattopant Thengri's 100th birth anniversary is being observed this month all over the country.
As a part of the series, an event was organised by the Dattopant Thengri Birth Centenary celebration committee in the national capital.
The vice president of India, M Venkaiah Naidu and Sah Sarkaryavah of RSS, Dattatreya Hosable were present on the occasion as chief guests.
Addressing the gathering, the vice president said that it is important to increase the purchasing power of farmers and labourers to give a further fillip to the inclusive development.
Emphasising on the equal distribution of resources, Venkaiah Naidu said that it is important to respect wealth creators which include both labourers as well as investors.
Talking of the fourth industrial revolution, the vice president called upon the trade unions to prepare the workers and farmers for this new challenge.
"Institutions like Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and Bhartiya Kisan Sangh should spread awareness about various government programs and should train the workers and farmers in new technologies," he said.
