New Delhi: An elderly woman who cast her vote in West Delhi's Binda Pur area on Sunday resorted to ruckus to settle the matter for her vote went to BJP despite pressing the Congress button. The annoyed senior citizen made a written complaint at the police station.
The woman voter alleged that she enquired about the orderliness of EVM from poll officer present in the booth even before casting her vote but the officer didn't reply. Identified as Madhvi Michael the elderly woman said she voted despite her doubts about EVM functioning and it was confirmed when the vote went to BJP despite pressing the Congress button.
Soon after the incident, she called Congress candidate Mahabal Mishra following whose intervention police too came into action, she said.
The matter is under investigation.
