Delhi woman resorts to bedlam to get her vote right

An elderly woman voter in ​​West Delhi's Binda Pur area had to resort to bedlam for settling the matter when her vote went to BJP despite pressing the Congress button during polling on Sunday. She alleged that poll officer present in the booth did not reply when asked if the EVM was functioning properly forcing her to cast doubt over orderliness of the poll machine. The matter is under investigation.

New Delhi: An elderly woman who cast her vote in ​​West Delhi's Binda Pur area on Sunday resorted to ruckus to settle the matter for her vote went to BJP despite pressing the Congress button. The annoyed senior citizen made a written complaint at the police station.

Identified as Madhvi Michael the elderly woman said she voted despite her doubts about EVM functioning and it was confirmed when the vote went to BJP despite pressing the Congress button.

Soon after the incident, she called Congress candidate Mahabal Mishra following whose intervention police too came into action, she said.

The matter is under investigation.
