New Delhi: Condemning the serial blasts in Sri Lanka which claimed the lives of more than 300 people and injured nearly 500, MoS for External Affairs Gen (R) VK Singh urged the world to adopt the UN Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism.
Addressing the 16th ministerial meeting of Asia Cooperation Dialogue in Doha today, India's junior foreign minister expressed sorrow over the dastardly April 21 attack in the neighbouring nation. He also expressed India's desire to work with all members of Asia Cooperation Dialogue.
He further stressed on the need for concerted efforts across Asia to ensure energy security in the region for sustainable development and poverty eradication.
He also urged ACD members to join International Solar Alliance launched in November 2015.
The minister sought enhanced cooperation from the member states in providing food security, adequate access to fresh water, research and innovation and financial inclusion.
