Tension after youth beaten to death in Delhi

New Delhi: After the disappearance and death of a young man in Jahangirpuri in ​​Delhi, a video of an assault has surfaced online.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Asim Das.

The family of the youth and locals protested near Majlis Park metro station over the incident.

The man had left for work with his father in the morning and didn't return home on time. The family later found the video of his assault that went viral.

Sources said the man was thrashed after he was accused of theft of construction materials at a Metro site. The man's body was recovered after a search leading to clashes on the road. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

Police have been deployed in the area to prevent further clashes as a probe is underway to identify the attackers.
