New Delhi: It's not only onion anymore, but almost all seasonal vegetables are also being sold at an abnormal price in the national capital with demand overriding the supply.
Soaring prices of vegetables have actually been a cause of concern for common people here especially in the winter season when most of the vegetables are sold at a lower price.
Potato, a common kitchen item that is generally needed with other vegetables, is also being sold at a higher price.
"It has become difficult to maintain a budget for the kitchen. I earned Rs 600 yesterday and now every single rupee has been spent to buy vegetables for my family," a customer told ETV Bharat.
He said the vegetables he bought would last only two days.
