New Delhi: With the hard efforts of Delhi Women's Commission (DCW), Uttar Pradesh's Unnao rape survivor and her family members have got shelter in Delhi. Apart from this, she will also be provided with coaching in English and Computer courses.
Earlier, the court had given the responsibility of rehabilitation of the Unnao rape victim to the Delhi police but later it was handed over to the Delhi Commission for Women.
After meeting the victim at her new residence, DCW Chairman Swati Maliwal stated that the girl is gaining speedy recovery and her health is better than before.
Maliwal also said that her fight at a very young age was a tough one as her family members were also tortured one by one.
"It takes a lot of courage, she has suffered so much," Maliwal added.
Extending all possible help to the Unnao rape survivor and her family members, the commission said that it will stand by her side and fight back all odds.
