The toddler sustained head injuries after falling from the terrace of a building where she was playing with her family members.

"She accidentally fell from the terrace while she was playing and suffered major head injuries," said the child's father Avinash.

The baby girl was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Noida but the parents were not satisfied with treatment.

The family decided to shift the child to AIIMS for further treatment on July 23.

They reached AIIMS around 8:00 am but struggled to get her admitted to the hospital.

Initially, the hospital asked the parents to conduct a CT-scan for further treatment. The CT-scan along with X-ray, ultrasounds and other tests were conducted after the child developed an infection in her eyes due to head injury.

The doctors suggested that the child needs to undergo urgent neurosurgery but said the operation cannot be conducted in the hospital due to unavailability of beds.

The doctors referred the patient to Safdarjung hospital but there also, the child was denied admission allegedly due to unavailability of beds.

"My wife made a video and gave it to a media person after which an ambulance from Safdargunj hospital arrived to take us to the hospital," Avinash added.

Finally, the kid was admitted to the emergency ward of AIIMS and the special bed was provided on 24 July late night.
