Order in Tis Hazari Court clash is self-explanatory, says Delhi HC
The Delhi High Court has said that there is no need to clarify its November 3 order in the lawyers-police clash at Tis Hazari Courts Complex as it is self-explanatory.
A bench of Chief Justice D N Patel and Justice C Hari Shankar disposed of the Centre's applications seeking clarification and review of the order which said no coercive action be taken against advocates should not be applicable on the subsequent incidents.

Lawyers strike continues for 3rd day, gates of Patiala, Saket district courts closed to litigants
Lawyers in all the six district courts here abstained from work for the third consecutive day on Wednesday, protesting against the clash between advocates and the police at the Tis Hazari Courts Complex on November 2, and denied access to litigants in some courts.
The lawyers closed the main gates at Patiala House and Saket district courts and did not let litigants access the court premises as part of their protest.
During the protest at Rohini district court, one lawyer took off his clothes and poured kerosene on his body in a bid to immolate himself, while another advocate climbed the rooftop of one of the buildings in the premises.
One of the protesting lawyers, who did not want to be named, said they will not resume the work till the time the policemen, who had allegedly fired at and lathi-charged advocates are not arrested.
Jaiveer Singh Chauhan, secretary of Delhi Bar Association of Tis Hazari court, however, said: "Litigants have been allowed inside premises. We are protesting peacefully. They have been allowed inside courtrooms too."
Police protests were triggered by two attacks on their colleagues, one on Monday outside Saket District Court and another last Saturday at the Tis Hazari Courts Complex after a parking dispute between an on-duty policeman and a lawyer which led to at least 20 security personnel and several advocates being injured.
Two FIRs were registered against unidentified persons, who were seen in a video hitting a uniformed policeman on a motorcycle with his elbow and slapping him outside the Saket court.
As lawyers demonstrated outside district courts in the city, Bar Council of India Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra said any incident of violence involving lawyers, police and public will not be tolerated.
Speaking to reporters in the Supreme Court premises, Mishra said the BCI has taken serious note of all incidents of violence between lawyers and police and all requisite action will be taken against those guilty.

Common people affected by lawyers' protest at Saket court complex, urge early resolution
The common people who have dates and hearings pending at the Saket court expressed displeasure with the ongoing lawyers' protest at the court complex on Wednesday.
Vinay Kumar, who was at the court complex in connection with a case, expressed disappointment and wanted the matter to be resolved quickly.
"I had a date for today but when I came here all this is happening. It is a matter of great shame that the two wings of the law are fighting each other and causing inconvenience to the public. It should be resolved soon," Kumar told a news agency.
The protesting lawyers stopped litigants from entering Saket court complex today, causing a great deal of inconvenience to them.
Mehraj, another litigant, agreed with Kumar and added that he was facing problems too.
"I had a date in the court related to a challan issued in my name yesterday, which was postponed to today. When I came to the court it was said that till the lawyers' issue is resolved there will be no hearing. It can even take 10-15 days. It is problematic for us. The strike should be resolved as soon as possible," Mehraj told a news agency.
Earlier yesterday, two FIRs were registered in connection with the alleged assault of a police officer outside Saket district court here.
A group of advocates had on Monday allegedly assaulted a policeman outside the Saket district court as lawyers across the city continued their strike against the Tis Hazari clash with police.

The Bar Council of India (BCI) chairperson Manan Kumar Mishra on Wednesday said that any untoward behaviour by the lawyers will not be tolerated and asserted that the action will be taken against those who allegedly beat up a police officer outside the Saket court in Delhi.
A major clash broke out between Delhi police officers and lawyers inside the Tis Hazari court premises on Saturday allegedly over a vehicle parking issue. Two days after the incident, a video surfaced in which a few lawyers could be seen thrashing a policeman outside Saket Court complex in the national capital.
"We will not tolerate any violent behaviour by the lawyers. Meeting of a coordination committee and Delhi Bar Association has been called today. We will take quick actions against them," Mishra told the media persons.
He said that notices were issued to several lawyers by the bar association and assured that action will be taken against them.
Following the clashes in Tis Hazari court, both sides took to the streets to seek justice. Even though the police have withdrawn their protest and have returned to work, lawyers have continued with their protest.
The Chairperson clarified that the strike by lawyers is "peaceful" and they will continue to do so until the policeman who allegedly fired shot at a lawyer is arrested.
"Firing shots does not come in the ambit of right to self-defense and a case must be registered under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code. He should be arrested," Mishra added.
He further alleged that the police had "manhandled and beaten" several lawyers during the clashes.

Mahavir Sharma condemned Tuesday's protest by thousands of police personnel against the alleged attack by lawyers on them and said the strike will continue till the 'guilty officers' were arrested.
"The strike will continue till justice is met. Litigants will be given easy access to court but lawyers would not be appearing in hearings. Police personnel be present at courts premises tomorrow; we do not have any problem with that. We want a fair investigation against Monday's incident of the alleged attack on a police officer by a lawyer at Saket court.
"Despite the Delhi police being a disciplined force, they held such strong protest today. It was done to divert the attention from the actual culprits and to save their seniors who were at fault," he said.
