New Delhi: An Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) diploma student was shot at on Tuesday near the RM hostel gate in the university premises. The student, identified as Rizwaan is currently undergoing treatment at JN medical college.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Rizwaan narrated the incident and how he reached his hostel gate after a call.
Rizwaan was fast asleep, when he received a call from a Shaji who called him to meet him downstairs. As Rizwaan reached the gate, Shaji began arguing with him. In the brawl, Rizwaan was shot at, while the miscreants, three in number fled from the scene.
The assailants also fired at the watchmen of RM Hostel.
The incident created a stir among the students of the campus as well as the hostels.
Police has lodged a complaint based on the CCTV footage.
Investigation to nab the perpetrators is underway.
