New Delhi: Ashok Kumar (48), who was working as a personal assistant in Delhi cabinet minister Rajendra Pal Gautam's office died due to coronavirus on Saturday.
Kumar breathed his last at Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital on Friday afternoon. He had a fever and was put on a ventilator two days ago, sources said.
His younger brother had died of the deadly infection on June 7. Kumar's wife and son have also tested positive for coronavirus, sources added.
A few days before, Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain tested positive for COVID-19.
Notably, in Delhi, the number of infected persons has crossed 53,000, while the death toll has exceeded 2,000.
