Russia claims no documents pertaining to Netaji's whereabouts

MoS V Muraleedharan conveyed Russia's response to the question raised by All India Democratic Front MP M Badruddin Ajmal on the whereabouts of Subhash Chandra Bose by saying that they could not find any related documents.

New Delhi: Replying to a question raised by All India Democratic Front MP M Badruddin Ajmal in the lower house of the parliament, MoS V Muraleedharan conveyed Russia's response which stated that they couldn't find any documents related Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's whereabouts.

He said that 'the Russian government has conveyed that they were unable to find any documents in the Russian Archives pertaining to Netaji and even after additional investigations made based on the request of the Indian side, we could not find any documents giving more information on the subject.'

V Muraleedharan has conveyed to the house in his written response that India has approached the Russian government on several occasions since 2014. He said that India had even sought documents or materials relating to Netaji.
The founder of Indian National Army, Subash Chandra Bose believed to have died in an air crash in Taiwan on August 18, 1945.
