RML hospital lab technician held for raping teenager

A rape accused in Delhi has been sent to jail. The man, who worked as a lab technician with with Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, had called the girl to the facility on the pretext of getting her a job.

New Delhi: A man, who was accused of rape by a teenager girl, was arrested and sent to jail, official sources said.

They said the incident occurred on August nine, when the girl went to meet him at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where he worked as a lab technician.

The man allegedly raped her in a room of the hospital. The two came to know each other a few days ago prior to the incident when the girl was admitted in the hospital due to coronavirus infection. As she was in need of a job, the accused had called her to the facility on the pretext of getting her a job, the police said.

The police said that the accused was sent to jail by the court as a case under relevant sections of the law had already been registered against him.
