New Delhi: New Delhi: Attacking the governments of Punjab and Maharashtra governments over the extension of lockdown till May 31, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that these states are taking decisions without consulting with the Centre.
"The first state to announce a lockdown was Punjab followed by Rajasthan. And now Maharashtra and Punjab were the first ones to extend the lockdown till 31st May, even before the meeting of chief ministers with the Prime Minister," he said.
Further taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, Prasad said that the Congress leader believes that lockdown is not the solution for COVID-19 pandemic but he does not convey the same to his chief ministers.
"Rahul Gandhi ji, you say lockdown is not the solution, then don't you explain this to your chief ministers? Or don't they listen to you, or they don't give your opinions any weightage?," he added.
