New Delhi: Punjab Congress Members of Parliament (MP)'s on Monday protested at Jantar Mantar on Sunday voicing their agreement with the protesting farmers in New Delhi.
Former Union Minister and MP Manish Tewari along with Parliamentarians Preneet Kaur, Ludhiana MP Ravneet Bittu, Amritsar MP Gurjeet Aujla and Amar Singh were given permission to sit on dharna till 5:00 p.m, however, they continued the protest till late night and slept on the road.
ETV Bharat spoke to Ravneet Bittu and Gurjeet Aujla who refused to budge from their spot.
Bittu said until the government convenes the winter session of Parliament, they would keep protesting. He added that even though the Centre did not give the protesting farmers spot at Jantar Mantar to protest, they have gone to the Singhu and Tikri border. And being people's representatives, they have come to Jantar Mantar to spread the farmers' voices since the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and President's residence isn't very far.

Taking a dig at Railways Minister Piyush Goyal, Bittu said that until he takes part in the meetings, nothing good will come of it.
All the Congress MPs appealed to the people to for a peaceful Bharat Bandh on Tuesday.
The Congress MPs also protested in the monsoon session of Parliament. The sixth meeting between farmers' Organization and the Central Government will be held on Wednesday.
