New Delhi: Captain Amarinder Singh, on Tuesday, met the three-member panel, constituted by Congress President Sonia Gandhi to resolve the ongoing feud in Punjab. As the rift within the Congress unit in Punjab worsens, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has been summoned to Delhi by the party high command to seek clarification regarding the dissent of the state leaders.
The committee has sought clarification from Punjab CM regarding the issues and grievances being shared by the party MLAs and MPs and all the allegations which were being levelled against him.
While speaking to ETV Bharat, Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat, who is also a part of the three-member committee, said, "Today we had a discussion with Captain regarding all the issues on which he briefed us in the last meeting. Captain told us that his Government has already taken decisions on the majority of those issues."

A section of the party's leaders, including Navjot Singh Sidhu, is being critical of Captain's leadership, his inaccessibility, and his government's inaction in sacrilege matter. However, Captain Amarinder Singh is somewhere being seen at a weak end. In a surprising move, Captain after the meeting with AICC Panel went to senior Congress leader Ambika Soni's residence. It is for the first time when Punjab CM has to clarify his actions to the Central leadership.
As per the sources, Ambika Soni and Salman Khurshid have been given the responsibility by the party high command for further consultations to resolve the infighting within Punjab Congress. When asked about the matter, Rawat said, "Ambika Soni is our senior leader. Her guidance is very important for us. The AICC panel has already submitted its report. But if he needs any further guidance then Congress High Command can appoint anyone."
