New Delhi: Two complaints have been lodged against priest Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati of Dasna temple of Ghaziabad over allegations of objectionable remarks against Islam and Prophet Mohammad.

Narsinghanand Saraswati, while addressing a press conference at Delhi's Press Club, had allegedly made the controversial statements. His remarks drew sharp criticism from All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MP Asaduddin Owaisi and Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan. Taking offence to the remarks, Congress leader Chaudhary Zubair filed a complaint against Narsinghanand Saraswat at Zafarabad police station. Earlier, social worker Kunwar Shahzad Ahmad had lodged a complaint against the priest.

Narsinghanand has always been in controversies because of his statements. Recently, he was in the news after a child was allegedly beaten up for drinking water at a temple in Dasna.
