President Kovind will visit Iceland, Switzerland and Slovenia this month. President will be accompanied by a business delegation during the visits.

President Kovind to visit 3 European nations from September 9

New Delhi(India): In a bid to enhance India's global footprint, President Ram Nath Kovind will embark on a three European nations visit from September 9.

President Kovind will end his journey on September 17.

In these nine days, President Kovind will visit Iceland, Switzerland and Slovenia. President will be accompanied by a business delegation.

This will be President Kovind's 11th state visit.

Since taking over, President Kovind has visited a total of 23 countries.

President will start his visit from Iceland from September 9.

President Kovind to visit 3 European nations from September 9

In Iceland, he will stay till September 11. After which, his next destination will be Switzerland where he will stay till September 15. In the last leg, he will be in Slovenia till September 17.

Addressing a press briefing, A Gitesh Sarma, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs said, 'all three countries have a desire to built a relationship with India. There is a lot of tourism potential in these countries. And, a state visit by the President will provide an opportunity to enhance our bilateral ties.'

On the issue of cross border terrorism, he added saying, 'all three countries have been sympathetic towards India on cross border terrorism.'

Regarding the exchange of information on black money, Ministry of External Affairs Secretary West said, 'Switzerland has a desire to keep its Finance untainted and clean.'
