Pollution level increased in Delhi-NCR even after good weather

New Delhi: The air quality in Delhi-NCR on Thursday was remaining in poor category even after the weather is slowly improving in the respected area.

Thursday the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 280 which comes under the poor category.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) informed that pollution will increase in Delhi-NCR as the wind speed is normal these days.

CPCB further said that due to normal wind speed the dust particles are gathering in the air.

Besides this, CPCB informed that shortage of rain is another reason behind the increasing air pollution in Delhi-NCR.

Despite all the restrictions, illegal construction is continuing in many areas of Delhi indiscriminately, said CPCB, adding that dust particles emanating from those activities are also responsible for pollution.
