New Delhi: Delhi Congress Committee's Working President Rajesh Lilothia slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government over their initiative of cashless transactions nationwide. Taking a jibe over recent money snatching incident which happened with PM Modi's niece, Lilothia said that PM Modi promotes the move of cashless transactions but their family members are themselves unable to adopt the policy.
The Congress leader said that the incidents of looting have increased in the national capital recently and the biggest reason behind the act is financial crisis.
He alleged that people are forced to commit such crimes when they do not have money in their pockets.
"PM Narendra Modi and his government promote the concept of cashless but his niece herself moves around with Rs 56,000 in cash," Congress leader Rajesh Lilothia said.
The Congress leader further alleged that the BJP government at the Centre has turned out to be a failure at every level.
"In his (Modi) government, the Finance Minister herself seems to be webbed in her plannings. People are disappointed due to the economic slowdown in the country," he said.
Targetting the administration, Lilothia alleged that the police immediately got into action and caught the culprits as the snatching incident happened with PM Modi's niece. But these incidents are regular in the city and police do not even register the complaints of public.
