New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked the BJP government, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may one day even sell the Taj Mahal.
Addressing a rally in Jangpura, his first in the national capital in the run-up to the February 8 Delhi Assembly polls, Rahul accused the government of selling state enterprises such as Indian Oil, Air India, Hindustan Petroleum and the railways as well as the Red Fort.
"Narendra Modi coined a good slogan of Make in India but not a single factory has been set up. They are selling everything - Indian Oil, Air India, Hindustan Petroleum, Railways and even the Red Fort. They might sell even the Taj Mahal," he said.
Congress was facing criticism for lagging behind in campaigning for the upcoming polls. Marking a come-back in the election race, Rahul, the party's former President, addressed two rallies in Delhi today.
Highlighting the work done by the Congress during its 15-year-rule, Rahul also attacked both the AAP government and the BJP-led government at the Centre for the rising unemployment rate.

He said that both BJP and AAP has "failed miserably" to generate jobs for the youth and hence even Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman refuses to answer questions on the issue.
He also accused the BJP government for spreading hatred in the national capital over the protests going on in Shaheen Bagh and Jamia Millia Islamia. "PM Modi has no understanding of religion. Hatred is not in our history, ours is a country of love. They talk of religion, but no religion talks of violence," he said.
In wake of the increased threat of air pollution in the national capital, Rahul said that the Congress party will allocate 25 per cent of the total state budget for environmental issues if it comes to power in Delhi.
At Jangpura, ETV Bharat spoke to a few women who had come to attend Rahul Gandhi's rally. The women said that unemployment was a major issue as jobless youth were falling prey to the menace of drugs.
A Congress worker even claimed that the people were responding positively to Rahul Gandhi's rallies, and were realising that both the BJP and AAP were not delivering on their promises.
