People have lost faith in Modi govt: Congress

Reiterated that people have lost their faith in the Modi government, Congress national spokesperson Pawan Khera said that the BJP governmnet, both in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, should tender their resignation over the present situation.

New Delhi: The Congress on Sunday reiterated that people have lost their faith in the Modi government.

"People have lost their faith in the Modi-led BJP government. This government has failed to provide security to the people and safeguard country's interest," said Congress national spokesperson Pawan Khera.

He said that the BJP governmnet, both in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, should tender theirresignation over the present situation.

He added that around 140people had lost their lives in Assam after consuming illicit alcohol whereas unrest prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh after the state government decided to give ST status to non-Scheduled Tribe Arunachal Pradesh people in two districts.

The Congress also criticised the government's move of welcoming a ruling MP of Pakistan governmnet in Kumbh. The Congress spokesperson Khera said that BJP would definitely not come after the next general elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Maan Ki Baat programme on Sunday said that he would continue his 'Maan Ki Baat' programme after the general elections.

The Congress spokesperson Khera said that BJP will definitely not come after the next general election.

" It's citizen of India who will decide the next Governmnet," said Khera.
