New Delhi: With the nod to run the Delhi Transport Buses from New Delhi railway station to as many as eleven areas of the national capital, passenger reaching the railway station feel easy in reaching their home.
Earlier, the passengers reaching the New Delhi railway station from the special trains, encounter difficulties in reaching home. Many passengers rely on their relatives to reach their final destination.
Noticing the condition, The DTC buses are now operational from New Delhi Railway Station to the eleven districts headquarters with the terminal point being the District Magistrate (DM) office complex.
The DTC buses are now standing in a queue outside the railway station, having an address plate fixed on their windshield.
A person who has arrived from Odisha's Bhubneshwar to Delhi said, "I was gone to my mother-in-law's hometown before the commencement of lockdown. Soon after Modi ji announced a nationwide lockdown, I got stuck there with my wife and a son. Yesterday, I saw some media reports about the passengers facing difficulties in reaching home. I feel happy when I got to know that the Delhi government has arranged DTC buses for us. Now, I can reach my home without any fear."
Train services were stopped due to coronavirus pandemic, but special trains meant for general public began on Tuesday from New Delhi Railway station with three such trains departing for Bilaspur, Dibrugarh and Bengaluru, while four arrived on the same day from Patna, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Howrah here.
