New Delhi: The political battle between BJP-led civic bodies and the AAP-ruled Delhi government has intensified with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) accusing the Kejriwal government of discrepancy in Covid deaths, claiming that over 35,000 death certificates were issued in April and May.
North Delhi Mayor Jai Prakash told ETV Bharat that in April and May, 35,478 people were issued death certificates by the MCD, while the issuance of death certificates to 1,255 people is still pending.
