New Delhi: A guest teacher named Praveen Kumar who was teaching Political Science in Government Boys Senior Secondary school in Kalkaji, South Delhi, was expelled from school on 5 August 2019 without any appropriate reason.
Talking to ETV Bharat, Kumar said, "I was expelled from the school and was told that the action was taken 'on account of a new link opening' by the school authorities and a new teacher was appointed thereafter."
He further told that when he approached the school officials demanding explanation, they said that they were "pressurised" to do so from the higher authorities.
Besides, Kumar alleged that the firing was not done in accordance with the Delhi government order which states that the post of the senior-most teacher in the department in case of relieving is to be retained.
Praveen Kumar has done all the required formalities and has given his written representation to the concerned authorities.
"Till now I have only received mere assurance and no action has been taken to provide justice to me. Even if I stand wrong, it should be communicated to me," added Kumar.
