JNU to soon get boys' wing of NCC

Adding that 18 students will be admitted to NCC in the first year and the number will reach 54 in the coming years, JNU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor M. Jagdish Kumar said that students joining NCC will be motivated to serve the nation and will contribute to work on peace and unity of India.

New Delhi: To inculcate leadership qualities and teamwork spirit among students, the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has commenced the National Cadet Corps (NCC) module for male learners there.

Talking about the addition, JNU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor M. Jagdish Kumar said the students are eager to join NCC in the campus that will be beneficial for them in understanding the values contained in the constitution of India.

At the same time, recruitment of students will be started in Senior Division SD Platoon under 2 Delhi Arty Bty NCC for which 54 seats have been earmarked.

Expressing happiness about this, Kumar said that the NCC platoon of girls is already doing very well and now many more activities will be organized in the campus with boys platoon for which they are excited.
