New Delhi: Arjun Munda, Former Jharkhand Chief Minister took oath as Union Minister in Narendra Modi's second cabinet on May 30' 2019 and became the Minister of Tribal Affairs. In a meeting with the officials of the ministry, he discussed plans to work for the welfare of people and move forward in the direction of the development.
Munda said that he will work with dedication towards the tribal issues and will do anything to ensure their development.
He began his political career in his teens during early 80s when he joined the Jharkhand movement spearheaded by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) which sought to create a separate state for tribals from the southern regions of Bihar. Munda said his experience will help him to work for the welfare of tribals.
