Mansarovar Hostel asks students to vacate rooms within a week

Delhi University and hostels associated with it have been advising students to vacate rooms in view of increasing number of coronavirus infected people in the city.

New Delhi: In view of the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the national capital, Mansarovar Hostel of the Delhi University has asked students to vacate the facility within a week as the university would remain closed till August 15.


The administration of the men's hostel, which was established in the year 1993 for full -time post-graduate and research students of the university, issued an order mentioning that in view of coronavirus crisis, it is better for students to return to their respective places.


Meanwhile, most of the students living in other hostels of Delhi University have already vacated their facilities and the remaining are being advised by the university authorities to leave as soon as possible.

The national capital has witnessed a sudden spurt in cases of coronavirus infected people and the health infrastructure is overburdened.
