New Delhi: The Supreme Court (SC) has directed the Maharashtra government to hold fresh counselling process for students of PG Medical and Dental courses. Besides this, SC has declared that the counselling should be given enough publicity by the government.
However, the apex court decided that the process will be completed by June 14.
The order comes after a bunch of students filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding fresh round of counselling and admissions after the state government removed EWS (Economically Weaker Sections ) quota on SC's order.
The Bench comprising of Justices Indu Malhotra and Justice MR Shah who said that this time new options regarding the admission in PG Medical courses would be entertained in Maharashtra.
