Mobile vans for supplying onions at Rs 23.90 per kg were flagged off by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday. The Delhi government on Friday had announced the onions in the city will be sold at Rs 23.90 per kg through mobile vans and at ration shops from Saturday.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday flagged off 70 mobile vans which will be selling onions at Rs 23.90 per kilogram in all the assembly constituencies in the city.

The event was held outside the Delhi Secretariat, which was attended by Food and Civil Supplies Minister Imran Hussain and several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders.

The government will also sell onions at 400 ration shops across the national capital.

Imran Hussain, minister of food and supplies while talking to ETV Bharat said that 1 lakh kg onions will be sold out to the public at an affordable price through 70 mobile vans and 390 Fair Price Shops.

While announcing the move on Friday, Kejriwal had said a person can buy a maximum of five kilogram of onion at a time.

He had also said that onion is being sold between Rs 60 and Rs 80 per kg in retail, adding that the new step would provide relief to the people of the city.

The government will procure one lakh kilogram of onions from the Centre over the next five days.

Intro:अरविंद केजरीवाल ने शनिवार को प्याज की 70 गाड़ियां सभी 70 विधानसभाओं के लिए रवाना की. इसके अलावा 390 फेयर प्राइस शॉप्स के जरिए भी सरकार प्याज बेचेगी.

Body:नई दिल्ली: बीते दिन अरविंद केजरीवाल ने दिल्ली सचिवालय में प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस करते हुए घोषणा की थी कि 28 सितंबर से दिल्ली सरकार सभी 70 विधानसभाओं में 70 मोबाइल वैन्स के जरिए सस्ती कीमतों पर प्याज बेचेगी.

शनिवार को दिल्ली सचिवालय के सामने मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने हरी झंडी दिखाकर इन सभी गाड़ियों को रवाना किया. इस मौके पर दिल्ली सरकार के खाद्य आपूर्ति मंत्री इमरान हुसैन, पीडब्ल्यूडी मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन, समाज कल्याण मंत्री राजेंद्र पाल गौतम और कई विधायक भी उपस्थित रहे.

इस मौके पर अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार जनता को सस्ता प्याज उपलब्ध कराने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और इसीलिए आज से दिल्ली की जनता को 23.90 रुपए प्रति किलो के हिसाब से प्याज मिलेगा. केजरीवाल ने यह भी कहा कि नवरात्रि को देखते हुए कई लोग प्याज नहीं खाते हैं, लेकिन जैसी जरूरत पड़ेगी दिल्ली सरकार प्याज उपलब्ध कराएगी.

यहां खाद्य आपूर्ति मंत्री इमरान हुसैन ने ईटीवी भारत से बातचीत में कहा कि प्रतिदिन 70 गाड़ियों और 390 फेयर प्राइस शॉप्स के जरिए एक लाख किलो प्याज जनता को उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा. उन्होंने कहा कि हर गाड़ी में 700 किलो प्याज है और राशन की दुकानों पर भी प्याज मिलना शुरू हो गया है, वहीं पीडब्ल्यूडी मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन ने कहा कि यह जनता के लिए बड़ी राहत की बात है. इस सवाल पर कि भाजपा इसे लेकर सवाल उठा रही है कि दिल्ली सरकार केंद्र से 16.50 रुपए प्रति किलो प्याज खरीद रही है, लेकिन जनता को करीब 24 रुपए के हिसाब से प्याज बेंचा जा रहा है, सत्येंद्र जैन ने कहा कि हम उसी कीमत पर बेच रहे हैं, जिसके लिए केंद्र की तरफ से कहा गया है.

यहां सभी विधायक एक एक गाड़ी लेकर अपनी विधानसभा जा रहे थे. देवली से विधायक प्रकाश जरवाल जब अपनी विधानसभा के लिए गाड़ी लेकर निकले, उसमें उत्तर पूर्वी लोकसभा क्षेत्र से आम आदमी पार्टी के प्रत्याशी रहे दिलीप पांडेय भी मौजूद थे. उन्होंने ईटीवी भारत से बातचीत में कहा कि दिल्ली की जनता के हर दर्द में आम आदमी पार्टी सरकार खड़ी है और इसलिए प्याज की आसमान छूती कीमतों से जनता को निजात दिलाने के लिए हम उन्हें सस्ते दामों पर प्याज मुहैया करा रहे हैं.

Conclusion:हालांकि इस कार्यक्रम और इन गाड़ियों के रवाना होने से पहले सुबह कई जगह से सूचना आई कि राशन की दुकानों पर अब तक प्याज नहीं पहुंचा है. हालांकि इसे लेकर सवाल करने पर मंत्री इमरान हुसैन का कहना था कि जैसे यहां से गाड़ियां रवाना होंगीं, सभी जगह पर मिलना शुरू हो जाएगा. देखने वाली बात होगी कि दिल्ली सरकार के इस कदम से जनता को कितना राहत मिलता है.
