New Delhi: The war of words between Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has refused to die down with former saying that the Chief Minister was not cooperating on the issue.
"He does not believe the Supreme Court, media or BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards)," the union minister said, asking him to send officials of Delhi Jal Board in case he wants to get quality of tap water in Delhi re-investigated.
Paswan said the Delhi Chief Minister is the chairman of DJB and he is answerable for the problem.
"If you are accusing us of presenting the false report, why don't you give water samples to both the DJB and the BIS. Let them test the water quality once again," he added.
Paswan also said that thousands of people die because of water problems in the national capital and the Chief Minister must do something about it.
Safe drinking water is everybody's right, he said.
