Kashmir youth thrashed for raising 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogan in Delhi

New Delhi: A Kashmir youth was thrashed for shouting 'Pakistan Zindabad, Hindustan Murdabad' during a demonstration staged to pay tributes to the Pulwama terror attack martyrs at the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Sunday.

The demonstrators were raising slogans of 'Hindustan Zindabad, Pakistan Murdabad' to condemn the Pulwama incident and pay homage to the killed CRPF soldiers. Meanwhile, a Kashmir youth present at the spot started shouting 'Pakistan Zindabad, Hindustan Murdabad'.

People gathered at the spot lost their cool over this and started thrashing the youth. On getting the information, police reached to the youth's rescue but the crowd kept on thrashing him and asked him to speak 'Pakistan Murdabad'.

A person from the crowd said that they all were staging a peaceful demonstration to pay homage to the slain CRPF soldiers but the accused Kashmir youth started shouting 'Pakistan Zindabad'. He added that the youth was thrashed because he insulted the nation and its soldiers which was unbearable.

Meanwhile, another demonstrator said, "The youth deserved the treatment as he lives here and backs Pakistan like a traitor. From now onwards, he will think twice before saying 'Pakistan Zindabad'. We all stand by the Indian Army and if needed, we will lay down our lives for the nation."

On the other hand, police somehow managed to rescue the youth from the agitated demonstrators. He was taken to Sansand Marg police station where he is being interrogated.
