Jaish-Ul-Hind claims responsibility for blast near Israel embassy

New Delhi: Jaish-Ul-Hind has reportedly claimed responsibility for the blast near the Israeli embassy in the national capital on January 29.

According to sources from the special cell of the Delhi Police, a picture has gone viral on social media, where an organisation named Jaish-Ul-Hind has claimed it was behind the blast near the Israeli Embassy.

The picture also stated that the organisation was proud of the blast, and warned of bigger explosions in the future.

Meanwhile, the special cell is currently investigating whether the claim is true or is merely a tactic to mislead the security agencies.

Earlier yesterday, a low-intensity explosion took place outside the Israeli embassy in the heart of the national capital.

The Delhi Police said that the low-intensity improvised device went off at 5.05pm and that no one was injured in the explosion and there was no damage to any property.

No injury to any person was reported, nor was there any damage to property except the glass panes of three vehicles parked nearby, a Delhi Police spokesperson said.

Following the explosion, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke to his Israeli counterpart Gabi Ashkenazi and assured him of "fullest protection" to his country's diplomats and the mission.
