New Delhi: The Indian Youth Congress lodged a complaint against Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sambit Patra seeking an FIR over allegedly defaming the Congress for preparing a “toolkit” to destroy the image of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
IYC national secretary, Shivi Chauhan in his complaint had written that the BJP spokesperson has made some tweets from his Twitter handle which spread the rumor, claiming that Congress used a toolkit for allegedly destroying the image of BJP and the PM Narendra Modi. He also used a fake document for this, which was on the letterhead of the AICC Research Department. Apart from this tweet, he has also mentioned the fake tool kit on many news channels.

In the complaint, it has been alleged that the fake documents toolkit is an attempt to incite people against two religions. With the help of this fake tool kit, Patra wanted to spread tension among the people during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Along with this, he wanted to tarnish the image of the members of the Indian Youth Congress, who were engaged in the service of the people, all through the pandemic, he added.
